Dear Monroe Families,

What a super fun and busy week with so many things to celebrate as we continue the countdown to the end of the school year! Highlights included our first-ever "Monroe's Got Talent" show (with amazing guest judges), the epic Students vs. Staff Basketball Game, our Summer Band Concert, and the tradition of Sheldon seniors walking through Monroe for high fives and inspiration. Huge thanks to the parents and staff who stepped in and stepped up to help make it all happen. We also want to express our deep gratitude to our families for being so engaged, collaborative, and supportive—your partnership is felt every single day. Stay cool this weekend with the warm weather, and get ready for a week full of celebration and honoring our 8th graders!

Mustang Shout Outs this week!

Monroe’s Got Talent Show was absolutely amazing—huge thanks to Mr. Newbold, Ms. Pitts, and Mr. Shaleem for leading the charge, and to our fantastic guest judges, Caleb Rexius and Brita Arcuri (proud Monroe alumni), for bringing their energy and heart to the event!

The Student vs. Staff Basketball Game was an epic showdown—staff won by just 2 points! Huge shout out to the University of Oregon football players who joined in the fun and brought the hype. See a few fun photos (photo 1photo 2photo 3photo 4). Thanks to @tvaughn.photography for the amazing photos!

Our 8th grade Science students did a phenomenal job representing Monroe at the county EV car races—thanks to Mr. Bineham and Mr. Reveal for guiding and supporting them through this exciting project.

Bravo to our Band students and Mr. Dillow for a sensational end-of-year performance—you brought the house down and made Monroe proud.

And finally, thank you to the Sheldon High School Class of 2025 for walking through our halls and inspiring our students with a glimpse of what lies ahead. It was a powerful moment of connection and aspiration. See cool video HERE
