Dear Monroe Families,

I hope it was a great week as the weather was amazing! First and foremost…

Tonight is the night! Don’t miss our biggest event of the year- Art & Music in the Courtyard TONIGHT 5:30-7:30 pm. This incredible celebration will feature live music by our students, amazing student artwork, the Scholastic book fair, a silent auction and raffle, and local food trucks (Maria’s Tacos, Renee’s Loaded Fries, Las Faroles, KimJa Thai Food, and Sweet Bay Shaved Ice) for the whole community to enjoy. This is truly a Monroe Community event, and we can’t wait to see you there! It’s a drop-in event so come by with family and friends (even if they aren’t Monroe families) at any time to enjoy the amazing festivities!

Thanks for a great week of collaboration, support, and care—it’s what continues to make Monroe such a special place. As we approach the final stretch of the year, we have so many exciting and engaging activities lined up for our students: Camp Harlow for our 8th graders, the 8th Grade Promotion & Dance, Honor Roll Breakfast, Field Day, the Student vs. Staff Basketball Game, Monroe’s Got Talent Show, our Summer Band Concert, the final FLEX day on June 3rd, and our end-of-year assembly to honor the MODEL Mustangs of the Year—just to name a few! These moments reflect the heart of our school, where we aim to engage every student on every level. None of this would be possible without the incredible support from both our staff and families—thank you for all you do!

Mustang Shout Outs this week!

Mrs. Parks and our amazing parent volunteers for leading a fantastic Book Fair—such a great way to spark student excitement around reading.

Shoutout to all our test takers for pushing through the final stretch of state testing, including Spanish Immersion and Math—way to finish strong!

Hats off to our Science team for engaging students with hands-on learning through frog dissections and the awesome E-cars they built and raced.

And finally, a big thank you to our parent volunteers helping get everything ready for tonight’s Art & Music in the Courtyard—your support makes these moments possible.

Hope to see you TONIGHT… Go Mustangs!
